South Donegal

The trip begins with a journey through Letterkenny in the centre of the county to Glenties and Ardara where you have a chance to explore the numerous shops in the village which retail the world famous Donegal tweed. We then continue down to Killybegs, Irelands biggest fishing port before continuing to Slieve League, the highest sea cliffs in Europe, where you will have a chance for some stunning photographs and a walk around the site.

On departure we continue through the numerous villages that dot the coastline before arriving in Donegal town. Here you have a chance to visit the famous Donegal castle (small extra charge applies for guided tour), the harbour, the friary, Donegal craft village and the scores of specialist shops, restaurants and pubs situated around the Diamond, the picturesque town square. We then proceed to Ballyshannon (Irelands oldest town) and Bundoran (Irelands premier seaside resort) for a guided walk and free time in each town before returning to Derry via the breathtaking Barnesmore gap.
